Global Recognition of Non-forested, Non-agricultural Lands
Rangeland has been used to describe non-forested, non-agricultural lands for over a century in the U.S., Australia and South Africa, but the term has not been adopted globally. Grassy biome is suggested as an alternative term to describe lands that possess a grass cover that coexists with numerous other plant types.
