In Chad, PRAPS-2, with support from the World Bank, is working to sustainably transform pastoral systems and improve the living conditions of beneficiaries. Access to veterinary care, natural resources, financing, markets, citizenship, and skills development is integrated into a comprehensive approach serving (agro)pastoral communities, livestock value chain actors, and national technical services. The achievements of PRAPS-2 in Chad illustrate the project's essential contribution to building resilient, inclusive, and productive pastoralism, at a time when the international community is celebrating the International Year of Pastoralists and Rangelands, as well as the International Year of Women Farmers.
