In Chad, the project PRAPS-2, with support from the World Bank, is working to sustainably transform pastoral systems and improve the living conditions of pastoralists. Access to veterinary care, natural resources, financing, markets, citizenship and skills development is integrated into a comprehensive approach serving (agro)pastoralist communities, other livestock-value-chain actors and national technical services. It shows the project's essential contribution to building resilient, inclusive and productive pastoralism, at a time when the international community is celebrating the IYRP, as well as the International Year of the Woman Farmer (IYWF).
