LINCOLN — Michael Forsberg, Conservation Photographer with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will present at the First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln, Nebraska at 7:30 pm on April 25, 2026. The title of his presentation is “Cranes, Plains, and a Watershed: A photographer’s journey in flyover country.” He will share his photos and stories from a lifetime of photographing wildlife, rangelands, and other landscapes in Nebraska and other parts of the Great Plains.

Michael Forsberg is a Nebraskan whose 30-year career as a photographer and conservationist has been dedicated to wildlife and conservation stories throughout the Great Plains. His images have been featured in books (e.g., “Great Plains – America’s Lingering Wild”) and international magazines, including Audubon, National Geographic, Nature Conservancy, and Sierra.

This event coincides with the United Nations declaration that 2026 is the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists, reflecting the important role healthy rangelands play in creating a sustainable environment, economic growth, and resilient livelihoods for communities throughout the world.
