Pastoralism and Ethno-Veterinary Traditions: A One Health Pathway from Rangelands to Remedies

This webinar is being organised as part of the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP 2026). The session will focus on the vital role of pastoral systems, indigenous ethno-veterinary knowledge, and the One Health approach connecting rangelands, livestock, biodiversity, and human well-being. The keynote speaker is Padma Shri Dr. Punniyamoorthy, a distinguished Veterinary Doctor and Ethno-Veterinary Expert from India.  Through this event, we aim to strengthen awareness on pastoral rights, traditional knowledge systems, and sustainable livestock practices in Tamil Nadu and across India.
