HEKS/EPER Land Forum 2026: Powered by variability: Pastoralism in dynamic drylands (ONLINE)
Pastoralism is uniquely adapted to environments where rainfall, vegetation, water and access to resources vary across space and time. Yet climate change, land-use and natural resource pressures and institutional constraints are reshaping these dynamics. Pastoralists are largely absent in policy dialogue and decision-making, and services delivered to arid- and semi-arid lands remain scarce. During the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists, the HEKS/EPER Land Forum 2026 organises in collaboration with Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Suisse (VSF-Suisse) a webinar to explore how pastoralists work with variability and adapt to climaste change.
To include speakers and welcome participants from all time zones, the Land Forum 2026 online webinar will be in two 2-hour sessions. It will mainly take place in English with interpretation in French, Spanish and Portuguese.
