- Description: This webinar will launch the Rights and Resources Initiative's (RRI) legal guide on pastoralist and mobile peoples' rights, which is the second addition to RRI's collection on pastoralist and Mobile Peoples' rights. With Moving Rights Forward, RRI's first addition to the collection providing a picture of the status of protection and recognition of these communities' most essential rights, this legal guide provides the next step. The webinar will review the legal guide, which provides an overview of the status of recognition of the rights to mobility & access, use, management & governance; FPIC and procedural rights, including women's rights dimension; and responds with direct policy and legal reform recommendations for national and global agendas. The legal guide and this webinar are meant to be provide a guide to ensuring laws and implementation schemes adequately protect all components of rights for pastoralists and Mobile Peoples.
