The swimming Kharai camels enrich the coastal ecosystem in the Kutch but state policies’ dismissal of traditional knowledge of the pastoralist communities endangers the lives of these camels and their herders in and around the Marine National Park and Sanctuary in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
